Cultural: A trip to Pizza Hut

Earlier this week we went on a trip to Warsaw to try to get our painting framed. We failed at that quest, but we did enjoy some time at Pizza Hut.

Well, it's quite what you think, but we do have a favorite Pizza Hut kiosk that we like to go to. We prefer going on Mondays or Tuesdays since they have the best permanent specials on those days.

This particular one is a outside the sit down restaurant. We actually use the kiosk where we order,  and we can sit in the public eating area at the mall. This way we avoid having to pay a tip for a waiter - and we just prefer it to sitting inside the restaurant.

This is where you can order the pizza- and is in their food court. It's a rather modest one - only about 5 different restaurants here.

A little closer up of the kiosk. There was no one there when we first walked up. I had to go into the restaurant and find someone to come wait on us when another lady showed up with a couple of girls. We all wanted to order pizza!

This is pizza that is just waiting for someone to order by the piece.

You can buy a single slice of pizza for about a dollar and a half, I think. I don't really remember.

The deals are best on Monday and Tuesday for carry out - Monday you can get one of their best seller pizzas for 19,95 zl (Supreme, Hawaiian, Cheese, and Pepperoni. On Tuesdays, you can get ANY pizza for 24,95 zl.  Wednesdays you can get a second pizza for 4.95 zl.  There are no particular specials on Thursdays-Sundays.  They do say that you can get 2 pizzas at a great price of 44,95 for mediums and 2 for 59,95 for larges (I think that is what the sign says.)

Since we like "the more the merrier" when it comes to pizza - at least with normal things on it  we like to get a Super Supreme for the price of 24.95 zl. which is $7.50 at today's exchange rate. This is a large pizza by their definition. I think it's about the size of a medium in the states.

So, we ordered a super supreme pizza plus two of these refillable drinks.  The drinks are about $1.50 each but can refill these tiny cups as often as you want.

You can refill your drinks as often as you want - the drinks are Pepsi products. You can see the ice machine to the far right where my husband is getting some.

Just to show you how tiny these cups are. This is a typical sized wallet. The cup is the same height as the wallet.

A close up so you can see the size of the cup!

They actually make the pizzas at the sit down restaurant seen in the picture below and bring them out to the kiosk and give them to you.

Part of the seating area. I'm a sucker for these floors.  They are pretty common in Europe. Tile floors just last and last! And while you are doing tile, why not do something attractive?

I couldn't resist getting the flooring. This is the area where you can eat the food you buy at the various restaurants in the area.

They also have something they call a "Festival Pizza" - all you have to do is say those words inside a sit down restaurant and you can get all you can eat pizza for about 28 zl. ($8.42).

And now you know!

I hope you have enjoyed this cyber visit to one of our fast food restaurants.  This one is not close to us - it's about an hour from our house - we don't have a Pizza Hut near us.

Here are some fabrics that my sis has for you over in the store!
